Hello My Dearest Family of L-O–V-E, Trisha here and I have some exciting news to share! Today I heard back from the MJ Estate, regarding trying to gain permission to officially use Michael’s name on our project, which would allow American Forests to have a dedicated landing page for “A Million Trees For Michael”. This is what they said “While we cannot endorse the project or any MJ project at this time, John Branca and the Estate are aware of, and commend you on, your efforts on behalf of Michael’s legacy through the “A Million Trees for Michael” initiative”. They continued by saying “Thank you for your support and for reaching out to the Estate. It’s critical to Michael’s continuing legacy that he has people like you in his corner, supporting the Estate as they work to continue to share not only Michael’s art but his humanitarian goals with future generations”. So we are still negotiating to see if they will allow American Forests to display information on their site about our project, without the “support and endorsement from the Estate”. I actually see this as a victory, Dear Ones, because they had the authority to stop the project entirely and instead they are clearly in favor of it, even though they are unable to give their official support. I know that Michael loves the project and I know it will only continue to grow, especially because of wonderful family members like YOU! All of us here at AMTFM share Michael’s kind and giving heart and we sincerely have a passion to serve God, humanity, and our beautiful Mother Earth, and that goes for our “Family of L.O.V.E” members, too. It has been the greatest gift to see the absolute sweetness in life from getting to know you, Dear Family, and there are no borders or boundaries separating us…..there are “beautiful MJ hearts” all around the globe and we truly are making a positive difference in the world and are doing our parts to “heal the world and make it a better place”, as Michael asked us to do. So we will continue to plant trees and will also continue to spread Michael’s message of Love, Peace and Unity in the world, until everyone finally realizes, as Michael said, that for the world to work, we need to “Love each other because we are all One”. Hello dear family of L.O.V.E, did you all have a good Christmas. With a new year a few days away I want to share with you some of this past year’s achievements. What an amazing year A Million Trees For Michael has had… contact with Jackie Jackson, facebook getting over 11,300 fans, tons of hits on twitter, wristband getting to Marlon Jackson, over 17,000 trees!!This is just a small percent of what has happened. This project is doing so great because of all of you and i THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ♥ I wish you all a great new year… i know that 2011 is going to be a great year for a million trees for Michael!!

Okay, my precious “MJ Family of L.O.V.E”, I know you are all waiting to hear how many trees have been planted so far, especially with so many donations made for Michael’s birthday! Since there were several birthday events for MJ over the week-end and we had flyers at many of these events, we are thinking we will still get more donations so we are waiting till next week to make the large group donation; right now we have approx 1,800 trees in our PayPal account, which is great!! American Forests number went up from 10,300 last week to 11,900 this week, an increase of 1,600 trees, our greatest increase since we started this project! Additionally we will be getting another donation of 1,000 trees from the “One Rose For Michael” group, so that puts us at (drum roll, please)….14,700 trees!!! Woo-hoo and yay for You, Dear Family!! We only need a minimum of 15,000 trees for the first forest so that means if we can get the permission from the family and MJ’s Estate, we can have the first “Michael Jackson Memorial Forest” planted and dedicated next Spring!! This will most likely be in Southern California….this news is so exciting and amazing!!! YOU guys are so amazing, Dear Family, and all of us at “A Million Trees For Michael” are so very grateful for all of your support, your kindness, and your generosity! I am visualizing hundreds of us (or even thousands), holding hands in a huge circle, hearts joined together in L.O.V.E as we dedicate this first beautiful forest for our beloved friend, Michael. I don’t think there EVER was a forest that was planted with so many seeds of love, kindness, compassion, and caring as this one will surely have. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this dream a reality, for honoring MJ in this special way and for doing your parts to help heal the world! I love you all, Trisha

Hello dear family of love how are we all today? Are we all getting ready to buy our trees for MJ on his birthday? I was thinking to myself “what do trees give to us and to the world?” And the more and more i thought about it the more and more i came up with. Here are just some of the many things trees do for the world and for US Trees Produce Oxygen, Trees Clean the Soil, Trees Are Carbon Sinks, Trees Clean the Air,
Trees Shade and Cool and can Trees can also Increase Property Values by 15% plus MJ loved trees! These are just some of many! And humans benefit so much from trees but they are being chopped down and without trees the world would be a completely different place! so please donate $15 for 15 trees on MJ’s birthday ♥ It’s All for L.O.V.E

Good Day to you, Dear Family of L.O.V.E, If some of you have been having a rocky time in the past couple of weeks, hold on a little longer because we are, indeed, going through a challenging time right now, astrologicially speaking, and it’s NOT your imagination! If you know this and can hold on for a couple of more weeks, it IS supposed to get better after that! The best thing you can do right now is to stay in an attitude of appreciation, being mindful of the present moment, and being appreciative of every blessing and wonder that comes into your life. There are so many wonders and sensory experiences of summer! Gazing at a beautiful garden or even a single beautiful flower, tasting the sweet deliciousness of a ripe strawberry, cooling off with a yummy ice cream cone, swimming in water than feels like liquid silk cradling you. The highest vibration we can have is when we are living in appreciation, in love, in joy, and in empowerment…that’s when we are in alignment with God or Source, and we are our True Selves. So find time for joy, laughter, to marvel at the wonder and
beauty of
the planet because these are all part of our healing journey. One of the reasons we have come here is to heal the world of
its pain by loving each other and being kind to one another, as our beloved Michael taught us. Take time to show a kindness to someone each day and that will go a long way to healing this beautiful planet of ours. When you meditate, see the world
as being
already healed, as being open and ready for love, its energy transformed to the highest vibrations of LOVE, PEACE, JOY AND APPRECIATION, radiating all around the world. I just want to see how many 13-17 year olds are saving there $2 a week or are going to be buying 15 trees for $15 on MJ’s birthday so please get back to me on this and let me know. Hello Dear MJ Family of L.O.V.E! I have a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE from American Forests that I need to share with you. Evidently someone called American Forests to find out more about this project and was a little confused because of the discrepancy between what I was saying and what American Forests was saying so American Forests wrote the following message to clear everything up. You all know my vision for this project, of ultimately having “Michael Jackson Memorial Forests” in many countries, on every continent in the world, and you know that the first forest is supposed to be planted in California in Spring of 2011. You also know that to be able to OFFICIALLY do this, we need permission from the Jackson Estate, which I was hoping to get from Joe and Katherine. They now know about this project and are in the midst of checking it out…it is my fervent hope and prayer that they will not only give us their blessing but will issue a statement about this project, letting all MJ fans know about it so fans and celebrities the world over can be a part of it, too, and plant MILLIONS of trees for Michael. That’s what needs to happen to give wings to this project so it will take flight and come to fruition as we all envision it to be.
I started “A Million Trees For Michael” to answer MJ’s plea to take care of the planet, and we are definitely doing that with this project. This is what American Forests and I have worked out: until we get the official permission to use MJ’s name, your donations will be used to plant trees where they are most needed in American Forest’s Global Releaf Program. You will still get your certificates saying you planted trees in Michael’s honor or memory. However, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, once we get the necessary permission from the Jackson Family and/or Estate, American Forests WILL CREDIT BACK ALL OF THAT MONEY to the “Michael Jackson Memorial Forest”, to be used to plant trees for Michael’s forest. I have already contacted corporations about donating land for the forest and some are open to this but not until we get that official permission from the Estate. That’s why it is SO critical to get this permission, in order to move forward.
In the meantime, we are all fulfilling Michael’s wish of healing the planet and that’s what is important right now, don’t you agree? So please do not lose heart, Dear Family! This is actually a good development because it means even MORE trees will be planted for our Beautiful Mother Earth.
Here is American’s Forests official statement:
“Working with Trisha Franklin, creator of www.amilliontreesformichael.com, American Forests is accepting donations to plant trees through our Global ReLeaf™
program. Donors are welcome to plant their trees through Global ReLeaf and to request certificates stating that the trees will be planted in memory of
Michael. Currently all donations using the MJ code will be used to fund tree planting where it is needed most – please note that your trees may not be allocated to one specific forest, but may be planted in multiple forests as required.
We do not currently have a specific forest ecosystem set aside as a memorial forest for Michael, although we are working on it.
There are two obstacles to this that need to be overcome before a specific forest can be grounded in Michael’s name.
1 – We need formal written legal approval from the executor of Michael Jackson’s estate in order to use his name. Even though American Forests is a non-profit, any unauthorized use of Michael’s name to raise funds may be open to litigation
2 – We need funding to procure a location for a memorial forest. Depending on the size of the land and the trees to be planted, we would need committed funding in the range of $10,000 -$15,000 to even begin exploring the possibility. To this end, Trisha is seeking to reach out to potential corporate sponsors; this is ongoing with no definitive end date
When, and if, American Forests receives approval to use MJ’s name and the funds required to establish a formal forest ecosystem for Michael, it is our intention TO CREDIT ALL DONATIONS ALREADY RECEIVED TO DATE (using the MJ code) TO THE NEW MJ FOREST. This means that if the new forest, for
example, would plant 50,000 trees and we have already received donations (using the MJ code) for 5,000, we would then credit 5,000 trees from the previous donors to the new forest – effectively meaning that 5,000 have already been sponsored and only 45,000 remain for sponsorship.
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to visit a forest here in the U.S., see MJ’s name on the sign, and know that somewhere amongst all those trees are those that you helped plant? We would love to see it happen and hopefully, one day soon, it will.”
So now you can see why it’s very important to continue in our prayers to get permission from the Jackson family to use Michael’s name. Love and blessings to you all, Dear Family. Trisha
