TrishaFranklin: Founder and Director
Trisha Franklin is a writer, a speaker, and the creator of several philanthropic projects, including www.AMillionTreesForMichael.com, which plants trees in memory of Michael Jackson in conjunction with the non-profit organization American Forests. She is passionate about wanting to make a positive difference in the world by inspiring others to live their highest purpose in life. Her other website is www.ForgivenessAndPeace.com, which encourages people to embrace “heart-based living” (focusing on love) instead of “ego-based living” (which focuses on fear). Trisha teaches that we are all Brothers and Sisters under One God so if we can let go of judgment and separatism and instead focus on creating our own well-being, then we can celebrate the diversity of all racial and religious differences and the world will finally live in Peace. Trisha is also working on her first book, Journeys With Jonah, which is about the spiritual lessons she learned from her Yellow Lab, Jonah, in her forthcoming book of the same title.
Joseph Bagnall : Chief Administrative Officer UK
Joseph Bagnall is a student studying business,from the United Kingdom .He loves to fly and gets the opportunity because he is an Air Cadet. Joseph’s biggest passion is to make a positive difference in the world. Joseph say’s ” I still don’t know how I got to know about this project but am so glad I found it! As Prince Jackson said “Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world” Joseph believes this is what we are doing here at million trees for Michael and is so amazed by the love and support this project gets and is so happy to be apart of it! Antoinette C Albert : Administrator
Antoinette C Albert came to learn about this wonderful Non-Profit Organization from a simple youtube video she saw in the begining of this year, 2010. The founder of “A Million Trees for Michael”, Trisha Franklin had created a video that spoke to her . she had been actively involved in the Michael Jackson community for awhile already but Antoinette had been unknowingly searching. Inside she had been searching for more, for more than pain, than the grief and sadness she felt over Michael Jackson’s death…she had found it. Antoinette says,”I dedicated myself to helping to make this project spring to life and Ive watched as many more motivated and extrodianary people have joing our team. I plan to see this project through and be there for it and all its supporters always. Its a piece of me and I love it.
Terri LeGrow: Administrator
Terri LeGrow was born the same year as Michael and grew up with Michael’s music and watched this brilliant entertainer grow into an amazing person and Humanitarian. Michael’s Love and dedication to healing the world has become her main focus in life. Spreading Michael’s Message to others, so that all world knows and appreciates all that Michael did and wanted to do for all of us! Terri believes, Michael’s Love for our planet and the children of the world must be continued through his fans, because Michael was taken from our world much too soon.
Leigh Myers Wentz: Administrator
Leigh works with special needs children and is a yoga instructor. She has two grown sons and a beautiful collie.
Michael’s passing touched her life in profound ways. Searching for support in the “MJ Family”, she was thrilled when she found “A Million Trees For Michael”. Since two of her passions are MJ and trees, it seemed like a perfect fit.
Leigh says, “I’m so in love with Michael’s heart; and I really believe that planting trees-healing the planet-is the most beautiful way to honor him. I’m so grateful to ‘A Million Trees For Michael’ for giving me this opportunity. We are all one family brought together in L.O.V.E.”!
Kiara Nixon: Administrator
Kiara is 17 and from Australia. Her biggest passion is helping people and she loves the Earth too. It’s wonderful abundant colours leave her in awe.Kiara belives that nature is the most beautiful thing, and she treasures it so dearly.It’s hard to explain how she loves Michael – it is a love that is deep, respectful and everlasting. She thinks that Michael is an amazing philanthropist and she has learnt so many good things from him. He has a solely unmatched talent and ability to make you see things you never seen before – and she is so honoured to be apart of this love, and have the MJ family that she has. It is all so wonderful and strong. Kiara loves to give trees. It makes her feel that she is doing something right for Michael and the world.
Ulrike Lindhorst : Administrator
Ulrike Lindhorst is a teacher at a German High School. Michael Jackson’s music has been a part of her life for 27 years now since she was a teenager in the Eighties. Ulrike has always loved and admired Michael for his musical talent but even more for his ability to bring joy and comfort into the lives of so many people by caring so much for those in need.Ulrike hopes and wishes that this world would learn a lessons from Michael’s death and that we would all open our eyes for the diseases our planet suffers from and the destruction of nature, poverty especially among children, crime and violence, prejudice and ignorance.Ulrike says, “I’m very proud to be a part of this project, especially because it is one of those that many generations to come will benefit from.
Annette Jung: Illustration, Graphics
Annette was ten when her eyes first met the ones of Michael. She fell for him at once and he marked her for life. Michael’s highest priority was making the world a happier place through his music, but also to make it a better place in being active. He always had the highest aspiration in everything he did. And since he isn’t able to do so anymore, Annette tries as much as she could to support Michael’s requirements with her skills.She is working as a filmmaker and freelance animator as one of the Talking Animals in their studio in Berlin, Germany.
